Hello Family,
I have been listening to a wonderful song lately. It’s called “Jireh” by Elevation Worship and Maverick City. I often think of the first couple of lines to that song.
I’ll never be more loved than I am right now
Wasn’t holding You up
So there’s nothing I can do to let You down
And then I was listening to this song this morning called “In Christ Alone” by Adrienne Camp. Such a beautiful song. These lyrics really touched me:
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.
It has taken me so long to leave my jail cell. The door has been open, but I have thought for so long, that there was still a price I needed to pay. A sentence I had to live out. I thought this way because I was looking at myself. Always looking at myself. My faults. My shortcomings. My failures.
But, I’m seeing now. It is only Jesus. It is by His power and sacrifice alone that I am here, breathing, living, typing.
Another song that I love: “If I Stand” by Rich Mullins.
So if I stand let me stand on the promise
That you will pull me through
And if I can’t, let me fall on the grace
That first brought me to You
My beloved family, remember that you are so beautiful. See yourself through His eyes. So beautiful.
I love you all.
